First place: Adluminate
Adluminate brings a modernised way to market businesses on the go. Its thin, lightweight and energy efficient light up signs allow users to more effectively advertise their company in their pre-existing markets or on whole new frontiers with a more attractive, and cost-effective solution.
With a current focus on enhancing exposure at vital events for small, local companies such as pop-up markets, Adluminate’s long term goal is to transition into automotive advertising on the road, with a heavy focus on quality and safety.
Through the use of professional, high precision equipment, Adluminate produces custom designs to meet the specific needs of each customer.

Inishrooms is on a mission to provide health-conscious consumers with an exceptional selection of mushrooms that not only elevate their culinary experiences but also contribute to overall wellbeing.
The business is centred around cultivating and supplying premium shiitake mushrooms initially, progressing to other variety offerings such as lion’s mane and turkey tail. The primary aim is to establish a reputation for delivering fresh, unique, and sustainably cultivated mushrooms that contribute not only to culinary excellence but also to the wellbeing of communities.
By concentrating initially on Shitake Mushrooms, it aims to thoroughly understand local preferences, assess market demand, and refine its cultivation processes to deliver exceptional products. Simultaneously, it plans to conduct extensive market research to gain insights into the evolving demands of health-conscious consumers and the broader culinary landscape. Positive feedback
Including Engineers in Business prize funding within the Enterprise Hub Bursary competition in 2024 has provided a fantastic opportunity to generate increased interest and engagement with the Enterprise Hub and Bursary competition from Engineering and Computer Science Undergraduate and Post Graduate students at Ulster University. We aim to build on increasing this engagement in 24/25.
